Hey everyone!

I have some exciting news to share with you. First of all, there's new art in my gallery here and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. To be honest, it's been almost an year since I created a piece to give me so much satisfaction and bring me so much pleasure!

Secondly, I would like to invite you to my newly-released blog: madyiordache.com/blog. You're welcome to step in and say hello, comment on the entries etc. And let me know if you have a blog, I might want to add you to my blogroll

I know I haven't been active much with my journal here, but I'm planning to stick to the plan and write in the blog at least once a week. There will be new art and projects, design stuff, news, resources, tutorials... Yes, I promise to start writing tutorials again.

And last but not least, if you go to the blog you get to have a sneak peak to a very exciting project of mine that kept me busy for the past few months: my first book, Temporary Peace, will be released soon! I will give you more details soon, but for now I can tell you that it will be a large format collectors' book (13 x 11") gathering 33 of my best work, with delightful graphics and comments. Coming soon!

Hi everyone

today I have been unexpectedly take over by a feeling of guilt for not having any kind of participation online in the places I used to love to frequent, like DA... A lot has changed - I have changed a lot and the truth is, I do not feel much motivation to participate and share and enjoy the comments and favourites... Even though I still check my devWatch almost daily, there's little there that impresses me anymore. Many of the artists I used to look up to have reached the peak and then went downfall - maybe, in the eyes of others, I did too - but then I cannot give up completely the chance to discover and enjoy new talent... Anyway, I'm not here to complain, I'm here because I realized that there are still people who find my artwork interesting and therefore, I've uploaded my two most recent pieces. Whit the comments turned on just for these two and just for a while, maybe I'll be delighted by some interesting thoughts and remember all the good reasons of being on DA.

Therefore - here I am, still alive, just lest active here, still creating, just less often than I used to, but I'm getting back in shape and planning on big things

Hi everyone, long time no see!

I'm only popping in for a little bit to let you know that the Neosynthesis Art Group has just released two 2008 calendar featuring fresh artwork! They are available through Cafepress here and here. And yes, I do have a new piece (it's a miracle! first one in 4 months!), which I will let you discover in the digital art calendar at June And you can see the full version on my website as well.

In other news, I've been doing good, I haven't lost my inspiration, but my energies need to be invested into other directions for the time being. My need for doing art is pretty much consumed at work (which is the drawback of having an artistic job - no more energy for personal art) - but I'm saving all the ideas in my sketchbook for better times

Just a quick note to let you know that the opening night for Surreal Impressions was awesome, I had a great time, I met a lot of interesting people and more plans seem to rise from all this.

Oh yeah, and I met David Nitsche, aka ^Davenit, which is not only an super awesome artist I'm proud to exhibit near, but also a very nice person and about 6 ft of fun and jokes (Cool coincidence: first time I discovered Dave Nitsche's photography was a few years ago in the Romanian Photo Magazine! How cool is that?)

In other news... I miss being around here and I miss creating some of my art, but since I started a full-time job 3 weeks ago I didn't have time for neither... I'm a graphic designer for a web design and marketing company and I love my job, but it draws all energy from me... And whatever is left goes into preparing the above show... But, once this is done and I get to adapt a little better to the working rhythm, I'll get back to the old good habits
