Photo Techniques Cover Story

I’m back from my trip to Romania, just in time for some god news: Photo Techniques Magazine has launched its Fall Special, titled “Mastering Digital Photo Processing”, whose cover story is the making of my “A Quest for Beauty”. It’s the first time that I’m actually showing the process and the early stages of one of my pieces (excluding the tutorials, of course). So, if you ever wondered how I put together one of my most popular images, this 3-pages article will give you some good insight.

You can find the magazine on newsstands until December 31st, or you can order it online.

Going to Romania

I'm so excited that I can barely focus on anything these days. On Friday I am flying to Romania, my native country! I can't believe it's been almost two years since I left. Time has past in a blink of an eye, but it seems to have slowed down a lot in the past week

I know a lot has changed in the past years there, and I have changed much too. I can't wait to meet my family! Two weeks doesn't seem enough to, but it's what I have

And we're going to have a lot of fun!

Hey everyone!

I have some exciting news to share with you. First of all, there's new art in my gallery here and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. To be honest, it's been almost an year since I created a piece to give me so much satisfaction and bring me so much pleasure!

Secondly, I would like to invite you to my newly-released blog: madyiordache.com/blog. You're welcome to step in and say hello, comment on the entries etc. And let me know if you have a blog, I might want to add you to my blogroll

I know I haven't been active much with my journal here, but I'm planning to stick to the plan and write in the blog at least once a week. There will be new art and projects, design stuff, news, resources, tutorials... Yes, I promise to start writing tutorials again.

And last but not least, if you go to the blog you get to have a sneak peak to a very exciting project of mine that kept me busy for the past few months: my first book, Temporary Peace, will be released soon! I will give you more details soon, but for now I can tell you that it will be a large format collectors' book (13 x 11") gathering 33 of my best work, with delightful graphics and comments.
